Introduction:
Tory Island, or simply Tory (officially known by its Irish name Toraigh),is an island 14.5 km (9 mi) off the north-west coast of County Donegal in Ireland. It is also known in Irish as Oileán Thoraí
Comment from others:
This is a great small island experience. Very rustic and away from commercialism. It's a nice place to go for peace and great music. The king was very welcoming and was happy for music to be played late into the night.
Getting there:
The only access to the island is by ferry. Ferry times are dependant on the weather, the tide, and the time of year, and run from Magheroarty and Bunbeg. It's best to call the pier office in Magheroarty to confirm the day before you go
