Introduction:

Stroove  Blue Flag Beach is located close to the village of Greencastle which on the eastern coast of the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal. Stroove beach consists of a small sandy beach, close to the famous Stroove Lighthouse. A great beach for a family picnic or a brisk walk on the Inishowen Head Walk.

Fact:

The beach is lifeguard patrolled during the bathing season. Lifeguard times can be viewed by clicking on the tab above or by checking out the information notice board at the beach.

Getting there:

Bus Éireann's buses stop at the town center, "The Diamond", outside the Abbey Hotel. They provide direct bus service to Dublin, Derry, Sligo, & Galway, and connecting service to numerous locations in the country & Northern Ireland. The nearest train station is Sligo which has trains to and from Dublin.
