breathtaking scenery:
The Dolomites valley of Funes/Villnöss starts in Chiusa/Klausen, the Medieval town in Val d'Isarco/EIsacktal. In the early part, the valley is narrow and dominated by rock surfaces but it quickly opens up to beautiful soft meadows and hills. Continuing on you will first reach the main port of call in the valley, San Pietro/St. Peter, and as you get to the end of the valley you will reach Santa Maddalena/St. Magdalena. Scattered on the hills in the valley you can find numerous mountain farms, separated by intensely green forests.
