Filzmoos is a town within the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the state of Salzburg, Austria. Its main income comes through tourism: skiing in winter and hiking in summer. The town is approximately 1 km above sea level.The holiday region of Filzmoos is well known for its scenery in the midst of the Salzburg Sportwelt in Austria. Located at the foot of the Bischofsmütze Mountain (Bishop’s mitre in English), one of the highest and probably most beautiful mountains within the Gosaukamm mountain range, Filzmoos is at an elevation of approximately 1,000 metres above sea level and is therefore a snow sure winter sports holiday resort in the province of Salzburg in Austria.
