Shangri-La's Boracay Resort & Spa is a resort hotel owned by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts located at the tropical island of Boracay, Aklan, Philippines.Scheduled to open in 2008, the resort plans to provide 217 guestrooms, including 43 villas and suites, of which 31 have a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi.It is the fifth hotel and resort property of Shangri-La Hotel in the Philippines, after Edsa Shangri-La, Makati Shangri-La, Traders Hotel in Manila and Mactan Shangri-La in Cebu.Due to open first quarter 2009, Shangri-La's Boracay Resort & Spa will bring new dimensions in luxury and leisure to this fabulous tropical destination, with a classic yet contemporary architectural style infused with local cultural influences.Located in the northern part of Boracay Island, the resort's secluded setting enjoys 350 metres of pristine beachfront and 12 hectares of grounds that are home to a number of interesting and rare wildlife species.
