Langtang Trekking Nepal


Langtang Trekking is located in the central Himalaya and has been under-protected with the Langtang National Park since 1976 AD. It covers an area of 1710 sq km. This area is starting with and altitude 830m/2723ft from Melamchi Pul Bazaar up to 4610m/15124ft Gosainkunda pass. The major ethnic groups Tamang (both Tamang and Tibetan speaking) and others include Bahun communities, Gurung, Sherpa and Newars are in the Langtang region. It is the nearest trekking destinations from Kathmandu and there is three way to go Langtang region one is Sundarijal 1430m, Dhunche1960m and another Melamchi Pul Bazaar. This region is the homelands of the indigenous Tamang people, they follow Tibetan Buddhism, and their occupation is agriculture, animal husbandry and tourism.
